To Inspire or To Aspire

The English language is quite a tricky one. Two words could sound alike but mean entirely two different things.

By means of either adding or subtracting one letter, could change a word’s definition in a split second.

Growing up as a child, I often thought that the term inspire or aspire could be used interchangeably.

Why not? … Can’t they mean the same thing?

Before we all get into a heated debate with regards to their definition, I’d like to present their varying definition, as told by Merriam Webster dictionary.

ASPIRE: : to seek to attain or accomplish a particular goal

INSPIRE: to influence, move, or guide by divine or supernatural inspiration

Although these words could mean other things depending on how it is used in a sentence, I’d like to use these definitions for my blog post.

Definition aside, I’d like to summarise my dramatic introduction with one short sentence.

I aspire to inspire.

With this, here is a brief introduction to what my blog is all about.

Writings about my aspirations in life.

Thoughts that hope to inspire others.

My aspiration to inspire various people of different walks in life.

I’d like to liken my blog to one of the most thrilling rides in an amusement park, a ROLLER COASTER.

My hopes for you, is that you would enjoy this crazy roller coaster ride with me. Rest assured that all of its content will filled with a lot of twist and turns and a hell lot of surprises.

Let us all laugh, cry, scream, and enjoy all sort of emotions together.

So will you take the plunge with me?

So before I’ll end this introductory post, I’d like to ask. . What are your aspirations? And if you were given a chance to inspire and tell your 7 year old self, what would you say?

      2. I do like that. There are a lot of things I’m still confused with. And I do have a lot to learn as well. I’d like to think of myself as a good student, a sponge that absorbs everything.

        Unfortunately I only have WordPress, a Twitter account which I barely used and my personal Facebook.

      3. You have to start using such social network. So you can relate well to people. When you write people we love to get your social handles.

        What about Facebook. Try and use such. That one is OK. So we talk.

      4. I think I’m pretty much living in Stone Age. But you are right social networking is a must now a days. You are actually the first person to ask me with regards to social media.

        I feel like I’m distanced myself from all the readers by not using social media. I will try to set this up.

        You need social network to tell your friends about your blog, so they read what you have to offer and also people will look up to you as been able to touch there life through your writings.

        I know how many friends I have made through wordpress. The ones I have not seen before like my blogs and how I treat everyone with equality.

        You just have yo have one. Facebook is popular. Even kids have Facebook. Lol. Don’t mind my approach. Just saying dear.
