Scanning through old pictures often bring out a little nostalgia in me. I’d like to think that you would share this warm and fuzzy feeling with me as well.
Whether it’s browsing through a worn out photo-book, captured memories on your photo roll, or a screenshot from the past posted on Facebook or instagram, they all bring me back to that same moment in time to what have been.
The good and the bad.
The happy and the sad.
The triumphs as well as the defeats.
They could all blend into one perfectly captured moment immortalised in one photo.
People of different walks of life may have varied opinions. Some may not be a fan of taking a million photos, in every angle possible. While others live on the hype of capturing every detail of their life on film.
We all have a right to our own opinion.
I, being part of the earlier demographics, began to realise the importance of taking photos.
Pictures could serve as a window to a past that may have been forgotten.
It may be a memory filled with laughter or it could be one filled with tears. But irregardless of what emotion it once brought us, it was still a moment we all considered worth capturing.
So take a breather from your usual schedule.
Wake up a bit earlier to see the sun rise.
Go to a new cafe with a great view.
Hang out with an old friend that you’ve missed.
And most importantly… don’t forget to take a picture.
Years from now, you’d look back on this memory with a big smile on your face.
Here was my inspiration in writing this blog.
An old photo I took about 5 years back.
It reminded me of youth and my carefree attitude. It is something I definitely yearn to go back to and live once more.
So here is my challenge to you.
1. Browse through your old photos.
2. Remember all the memories you once had in that very photo.
3. Please do share that nostalgic story/ memory on the comment box down below.
What is that memory you want to go back to?
